Attributes
| Attribute | Type | Cardinality | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| id :pathway/id | string | oneunique identity | Globally unique id for this pathway. MUST be prefixed with its source ontology, lowercased, joined with ':' -- e.g. 'metacyc:PWY-7754' (the bare MetaCyc id 'PWY-7754', stripped of HUMAnN3's appended ': description' suffix, then qualified) -- NOT the bare 'PWY-7754'. :pathway/source is a separate, non-identity field and cannot itself disambiguate two different sources that happen to produce the same bare id string; :db.unique/identity only ever looks at this attribute's own value. This follows the same self-constructed composite-string-as-id convention already used by :variant/id (joins genomic coordinates + alleles) rather than a synthetic-composite-id/metamodel-level composite (as :otu/:sgb use), since :pathway is a global, not measurement-set-scoped, ref-data kind and doesn't need their per-uid machinery -- just a value guaranteed unique by construction. |
| name :pathway/name | string | one | Human-readable pathway description, e.g. 'bile acid 7-alpha-dehydroxylation'. |
| source :pathway/source | pathway.source | one | The source ontology for this pathway id, refers to idents in the 'pathway.source' namespace (e.g. :pathway.source/metacyc). This field is for querying/display only -- it is NOT part of :pathway/id's identity computation, so it cannot by itself prevent an id collision between sources; see :pathway/id's doc for the actual disambiguation mechanism (prefixing the id string itself). |
